Today Jorden wanted to check out Guitar Center, so we jumped on the Subway.

Jorden cracks me up…reading his newspaper on the subway:

Kelsey bought her daily intake of blueberries from a stand (I highly recommend the fruit stands, the fruit is outstanding).

A vendor of fine collectibles:

We shopped a bit, then grabbed some breaky and coffee at a deli. Then back on the subway towards Wall Street to hopefully grab some more deals at Century 21.

Love this photo of the subway driver:

I love emerging from the dark, dank subway tunnel into the gorgeous light of day amongst the mamoth buildings:

As we walked, Jorden mentioned how strange it is thinking about all the people in this area running for their lives from the dust cloud from the falling towers, and how awful it must have been for everyone in the area. It is very sobering to be in that area and thinking about that for sure.
We walked a different route this time and came across these very nice copper depictions of the WTC:

One last somber walk past the site:

We found some more deals and I bought another pair of boots. Then we turned to make our way back for a ride on the Staton Island ferry. We passed a pizza place and stopped for a slice. This was the best sicilian pizza I have every had! They also had great garlic knots:

The pigeon enjoyed the droppings;

We then made our way to the ferry:

The ferry was very scenic, and took about an hour round trip.

a stowaway:

We then took the subway to Rockefeller Center intent on going up to the top to see the sun set.

However, this area was crazy when we got there with long lines and general crazyness!

We walked back to our hotel, and it took us a good ten minutes just to cross the street, it was nuts!

We got back to Times Square and wandered a bit.

Then we got changed and went in search of dinner. WE found the cutest little Italian place. The food was pretty good.

We headed back to spend our last night at Times Square wandering around. We saw the test run of the New Year’s Eve ball dropping, it was WAY smaller than I thought!

We went to check out the Charmin restrooms…all I can say is wow. Such a big hubbub for bathroom facilities! They had a choreographed dance and everything.

This guy was busy making bad choices:

Some last Times Square photos:

This photo cracks me up:

Back at the room, Kelsey enjoys her christmas gift…Godiva chocolate truffles. Yumm!
